The representatives of the initiative commitees from the villages of Kovachevo, Novoselets, Pet Mogili, Radetski, Mlekarevo, Polski Gradets, participating in the protest against the construction of the "National Center for Hazardous Waste" on the territory of Gledachevo village.

We live in one of the most polluted regions of Bulgaria and probably in Europe, the region of "Maritsa Iztok". Our villages are located within the territory of three thermal electrical plants and mining sites. We want to have a normal life in the already difficult environmental situation in our region. In this situation we fight against the construction of next badly thought initiative - "The National Center for Hazardous Waste".

The initial discussions on the project were conducted in total disinformation, so that the citizens do not realize what exactly happens. Now, when the process grew into a mass protest, we wrote a declaration to all institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria stating that we will stand up to our rights for better (cleaner) life at the place, where we were born, where we live and where we will die.

Therefore once again at the meeting in Stara Zagora we stated that we are and will always be against the construction the this "CENTER" protesting with all means, including civil disobedience. We do not trust the allegations and empty promises of the representatives of the state authorities, who lie their own people. Let all honest and caring for our country people join us.
